Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania is constantly going back and forth between documentary and fiction. Her previous film “The Man Who Sold His Skin” was nominated for The Academy Award for Best International Feature Film at the Oscars 2021 and had its world premiere at the 77th Venice International Film Festival, Orizzonti Competition. Her film "Beauty and the Dogs" premiered at the Cannes Film Festival official selection "Un Certain Regard" in 2017. All her other movies premiered in prestigious festivals: Cannes, Venice, AFI Los Angeles, Locarno, IDFA, Hot Docs Toronto...
